Anatomy Courses

We’re in the last months of the final year at The Breathing Projectwe’re closing our space in summer 2017! Our final trimester of our anatomy courses is underway!

The 2016/17 year orients around an Appendicular Body Focus for Leslie’s Anatomy of Breath-Centered Yoga course, while Amy’s Embodied Anatomy & Kinesiology course is focusing on Bones & Ligaments. These courses have started. Email us at if you’d like to attend a single class.

Interested in cultivating embodied teaching skills while diving deeply into selected topics with Amy? We have a few spaces available in the remaining weekends in the 2017 Practices in Embodied Teaching series: Systems & Fundamentals.

Interested in exploring developmental movement with Amy? She’s offering a series of workshops that focuses on the movement patterns that typically develop in a particular period of our first year. Join us for the final workshop in the 2017 Developing Patterns workshop series.

Practices in Embodied Teaching
with Amy Matthews

Two Year-long Series of 10 Weekends

Practices in Embodied Teaching is made up of two year-long series of 10 weekends. These weekends provide opportunities to take an experiential dive into anatomy, kinesiology, physiology and embryology. Each weekend, limited to 15 students, focuses on a specific anatomical topic and includes lecture, discussion, movement and a short teaching exploration. In addition to learning and experiencing the material, we’ll consider how deepening our own embodiment supports the practice of teaching.
