Somatic Synthesis Weekend Workshops course info

Full Year (10 weekend workshops) $3,300

Somatic Synthesis weekend workshops are geared towards people who have had basic training in anatomy and kinesiology, and have some teaching experience.

Possible prior training could be Yoga Anatomy with Leslie Kaminoff OR Embodied Anatomy & Kinesiology with Amy Matthews OR a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training equivalent OR equivalent training in another discipline.

Yoga Educator (Ed.Y.) Training Program program info

Full program tuition: $12,000

Includes three courses:

Yoga Anatomy with Leslie Kaminoff
Embodied Anatomy & Kinesiology with Amy Matthews
Somatic Synthesis Weekends with Amy Matthews
Assisting and homework requirements

These courses can be taken in any order, though we recommend taking at least one of the anatomy courses before (or concurrently with) the weekend workshops. The three courses will take a minimum of two years if done at the same time, or up to six years if done one at a time.

Pre-requisites:

Completion of one year of either Yoga Anatomy or Embodied Anatomy & Kinesiology
One year's experience teaching

WORK STUDY

A work-study discount of $900 is available for all of our Advanced Studies courses. Awards are given for study beginning in the fall (for Yoga Anatomy and Embodied Anatomy & Kinesiology) or in January (for Somatic Synthesis Workshops). Work-study students must commit to a full year of study, and work one two-hour shift per week for the duration of study.

POLICIES

Payment Policies: Anatomy Courses (YA, EA&K) and Somatic Synthesis Workshops

A deposit is required to hold your space: $200 per course: YA, EA&K $500/year; $200/workshop: Somatic Synthesis
To receive an early registration discount, full payment must be received four (4) weeks prior to first session.
Payment plans must be arranged before session start and direct debit is required.
Full payment must be received prior to first session, unless a payment plan has been arranged in advance.
Payments are refundable prior to first session, minus 15% processing fee.
After session start, payments are non-refundable but can be used toward later enrollment.
Enrollment is by full cost of session. There is no pro-rated enrollment for partial attendance.
Late payments will incur a $25 fee.

Policies: Ed.Y. Program

Full credit for courses completed within the last three (3) trimesters at The Breathing Project will be applied towards your Ed.Y. tuition.
Partial credit will be applied if student has not been enrolled during the previous three (3) trimesters.
Credit will be given for the full amount of any work-study monies received, and half of any scholarship monies received.
Ed.Y. courses may be enrolled in individually or as part of the Ed.Y. Program.
If you transfer from the full program to individual courses, you will be responsible for the full cost of each, at current rates. Any previous payments will be applied, minus 15% processing fee.

Unlimited Post-Program Attendance

Once you have paid for a full year of an anatomy course with either Leslie or Amy, you can return to classes in that course at no cost, and for an unlimited time - space allowing, and at the discretion of the teacher.
Once you have completed the Ed.Y. Program, you can return to the anatomy courses in the program (Yoga Anatomy and Embodied A&K) at no cost, and for an unlimited time (space allowing, and at the discretion of the teacher).
If you have completed the full Ed.Y. Program, you have the option of returning to the Somatic Synthesis weekends as a student for ½ price, or as an assistant. There is no charge for assisting, but there is a further application process.
